Dr. Tomas Infernuso
DVM, DACVS
Dr. Tomas Infernuso is a board-certified veterinary surgeon with more than 15 years of experience providing advanced surgical care throughout New York and Long Island. He began his career as a traveling surgeon, embedding directly within general practices and emergency hospitals — operating on-site so patients never had to leave their primary care team.
In 2019, he founded the Animal Surgical Center (ASC) — one of the first specialty surgical hospitals of its kind on Long Island — focused on advanced orthopedics, neurosurgery, minimally invasive surgery, rehabilitation, and surgical innovation. Dr. Infernuso is a national and international speaker with a passion for education, innovation, and advancing standards within veterinary surgery.
His clinical interests include spinal surgery, arthroscopy, minimally invasive procedures, regenerative medicine, rehabilitation, and emerging surgical technologies. He is also a board member for Big Dog Ranch Rescue in Florida and Second Chance Rescue in New York, committed to improving access to advanced surgical care for animals in need.
